Our Ford Transit Custom Brake light reversing camera. We stock two versions depending on the year of production. Earlier vans produced prior to May 2016 had bulb high level brake lights, whilst vans produced after this date were fitted with LED. Choose your type when ordering.
Brake light reversing cameras all look the same, but there can be subtle variance in build quality and performance. Ours has been fitted with the upgraded 4089 image sensor (vs the entry level 3089 commonly seen elsewhere). We opted for the separated external lens and IR LED's (to give a wider viewing angle and better night time performance). We also specified an all glass composite lens (vs the 2x plastic + 2x glass composites commonly found elsewhere - that fog over time due to the UV light from the sun damages the plastic layers).

Select Bulb Type if you have a 2012 to May 2016 Ford Transit Custom van fitted with bulbs in the high level brake light.
Select LED Type if you have a May 2016 to Present Day Ford Transit Custom with LED's in the high level brake light.

This camera is supplied with approximately 30cm fly lead with a 4-pin aviation connector at the end. We prefer the 4-pin version because it means a monitor can provide power to the camera (or you can supply power from the front/ignition), and this avoids CANBUS issues that can occur if taking power from the reverse light.
The picture below shows the connections found on the LED type brake light reversing camera for the Ford Transit Custom. If you have this type (built after May 2016) then simply insert the old wiring lead in to our new reversing camera socket.
The picture below shows the connections found on the Bulb type brake light of the Ford Transit Custom. If you have this type (built before May 2016) then simply transplant the bulb+bulb holder clip in to the new brake light reversing camera housing.
If you plan to use a phono/RCA monitor instead then we recommend sticking with the 4-pin cable and using an adaptor kit at the front (see the photo/option for more details) this means you can send power from the front of the vehicle to the camera down a 4-pin extension cable. You will see an option to add a discounted bundle of adaptors to cover every eventuality, see image below for all the parts that you will receive.
We use a high res image sensor, namely the 4089 700TVL sensor. Coupled with a 2.6mm 4 layer glass lens (some cheaper cameras use 2xglass 2xplastic which eventually turn cloudy due to sun exposure) to give approximately 130° field of view. The camera has some up/down adjustability, however it can't be angled high enough to give a view back down the road. If you wish to have an always on driving view then we do stock the twin lens reversing and rear view camera for Ford Transit Custom.

Mainland UK Shipping
We have three postage options to select from during checkout (on larger items eg kits there will be two options):
Royal Mail Tracked - Smaller / Lighter weight orders. This will be sent via Royal Mails Tracked Service. They will send emails/SMS to inform you of the tracking events. This option won't be shown for heavier weight orders. £3.95.
DPD 2 Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive within two working days (if you place the order before 12:30PM). £6.50.
DPD Next Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive the following working day (if you place the order before 12:30PM). £7.99.
Highlands and Islands UK Shipping
We offer a 2-3 day service fulfilled with either Royal Mail Post, or Parcel Force. The prices charged are identical to mainland UK. Small orders will be sent via the post, larger orders via Parcel Force.
Outside of the UK Shipping
We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.
60 day "Change of Mind" policy
We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase. We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that. Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back. You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order. We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.
All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
