About the White Roof Mount Reversing Camera with Sony CCD Image Sensor
Sometimes called an overhang camera, sometimes shark fin, the rest of the time roof mount camera. Whatever you want to label it, it's essentially a pod camera designed to extend over the edge of the roof of a van to ensure a good image is obtained. Expect a great picture day and night, fast delivery and fantastic support. This reverse camera has the following advantages :
Premium Sony 1/3" Sony CCD Image Sensor Fitted - Our favourite Sony 811 1/3" Sony CCD image sensor is installed in to this roof mounted reverse camera. The image sensor has one of the most significant impacts on camera picture quality. This image sensor is renowned for good performance night and day.
Night Vision IR LED's - A ring of 10x IR LED's are fitted to provide a useful image at night time. These IR LED's are below the visible spectrum of the human eye, so they won't annoy anyone with light, but they will help the camera see in the dark.
Adjustable Ball Camera - When installing the camera there is the ability to adjust the ball camera so that the camera is giving you the optimum viewing angle for reversing.
700tvl High Resolution PAL Signal - Thanks to the Sony Hi-Res image sensor, the camera outputs a 960H 700tvl high resolution image quality. This pretty much is the maximum limit of the traditional CVBS video signal system. Our camera uses the PAL format (Europe).
Great Colourful Image - Thanks to the Sony Image Sensor, you can expect nice colour replication, including greens, which is sometimes difficult to achieve on night vision cameras.
IP68 Waterproof Protection - The Ingress Protection rating of IP68 means the camera is protected against the worst weather conditions.
120° Wide Angle - A nice wide field of view to provide a spread around the back of your vehicle when reversing.
4 Pin Connector + RCA Adaptor Options - This camera has a 4 pin screw (aviation) connector. We are also able to provide a discounted adaptor set to RCA should you require.
1 Year Guarantee / 2 if Purchased at the same time as a monitor - We have a great reputation for reliability and support. This camera comes with a 1 year guarantee if bought by itself, or a 2 year guarantee if bought with one of our monitors at the same time. This is because we know our rear view monitors protect the camera from various issues, maintaining the perfect voltage range for operation.
Optional Extension Plate - We do stock a stainless steel extension plate should you find you need to extend the reach of the camera. This can be added by clicking on the option above. Please note :- As the bracket is bare metal stainless steel there will be scratches where the brackets have rubbed together in transit (before they reach us).

Mainland UK Shipping
We have three postage options to select from during checkout (on larger items eg kits there will be two options):
Royal Mail Tracked - Smaller / Lighter weight orders. This will be sent via Royal Mails Tracked Service. They will send emails/SMS to inform you of the tracking events. This option won't be shown for heavier weight orders.
DPD 2 Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive within two working days (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
DPD Next Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive the following working day (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
Highlands and Islands UK Shipping
We offer a 2-3 day service fulfilled with either Royal Mail Post, or Parcel Force. The prices charged are identical to mainland UK. Small orders will be sent via the post, larger orders via Parcel Force.
Outside of the UK Shipping
We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.
60 day "Change of Mind" policy
We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase. We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that. Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back. You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order. We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.
All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
