Our bolt-on reversing camera for the number plate is very small and discreet. It is designed with the cable entering through the bolt that secures the camera to the vehicle. It is fitted with a high-resolution 4089 700tvl image sensor and a high-quality all-glass lens and has a choice of either 4-pin or RCA connector options.
Details of Bolt Number Plate Reverse Camera
Our bolt-on numberplate reversing camera has been designed in a very small case, yet uses a powerful 4089 700tvl image sensor. Designed to fit under the license plate trim, next to the number plate lights. When this reverse camera is installed, it is quite difficult to spot. This camera has the following highlights :
Small and Discreet - This reversing cameras is probably one of the most discreet we have seen. I invite you to check out the installation photos sent in by Laura of it fitted to her VW Transporter van, it almost looks factory fit.
High Resolution Image Quality - The factory managed to get our favourite lens/image sensor combo fitted in to the small case - the 4089 700tvl high resolution image sensor, coupled with the all-glass composite lens. The image sensor is one of the most important aspects of achieving a good picture from a reversing camera. This image sensor is the same as we use on our brake light cameras, which are greatly respected by the community. All glass composite lenses cost more than their plastic/lens composite counterparts, but long-term they are worth it. The cheaper lenses fade over time due to UV damage to the plastic elements, no such problem with ours! Expect a clear image years later.
Extra Wide Viewing Angle - A 150 degree lens all-glass composite lens is fitted to make it an extra wide angle reversing camera. Being low down on the number plate, you want as wide angle as you can get. This makes it possible to see and avoid any obstacles behind your vehicle.
IP68 Waterproof Protection - The IP rating is a number that specifies how good the product is at resisting water and dust. IP68 will deal with the worst weather conditions you will ever find.
Choice of 4 Pin or RCA Connectors - Select your choice of connector option when ordering to match your displays input type.
Guidelines ON/OFF Function - The camera will add guidelines as standard. If you wish to remove these from the image produced, simply cut the white trigger loop/wire that is close to the small disconnect point.

Mainland UK Shipping
We have three postage options to select from during checkout (on larger items eg kits there will be two options):
Royal Mail Tracked - Smaller / Lighter weight orders. This will be sent via Royal Mails Tracked Service. They will send emails/SMS to inform you of the tracking events. This option won't be shown for heavier weight orders.
DPD 2 Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive within two working days (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
DPD Next Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive the following working day (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
Highlands and Islands UK Shipping
We offer a 2-3 day service fulfilled with either Royal Mail Post, or Parcel Force. The prices charged are identical to mainland UK. Small orders will be sent via the post, larger orders via Parcel Force.
Outside of the UK Shipping
We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.
60 day "Change of Mind" policy
We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase. We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that. Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back. You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order. We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.
All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
