Most vehicle monitors and stereo systems only support traditional CVBS signal reversing cameras. Plugging a 1080P AHD signal camera into a traditional monitor will result in no image being displayed. Please read the AHD compatibility tab for even more information. If you are buying one of our AHD monitors to work with this camera, rest assured that they will work together. Our AHD input vehicle monitors can all handle the 1080P PAL AHD signal that this camera outputs.
This is the upgraded 1080P AHD signal version of our popular black-painted stainless steel bracket twin lens rear view camera + reversing camera. Twin Lens Bracket Rear View and Reversing Cameras are popular for Vans and Motorhomes. With the two camera views in one, they are ideal for always on driving. They can be mounted on either a vertical surface e.g. rear wall of Motorhome, or a horizontal surface e.g. top of the roof on a van.
1080P AHD High Definition Image - Both cameras are fitted with top specification Sony IMX 307 1080P AHD image sensors, which means this camera will output a 1920*1080P high definition image. Please ensure you understand that this only works with AHD monitors - do not order this version if you are using a standard stereo head unit/monitor otherwise there will be no image shown.
High Dynamic Range Image - The high quality Sony image sensors installed (the part that captures the image detail) is one of the best at dealing with light and dark areas in the image at the same time.
Brilliant Vivid Colours - In the day time this reversing camera will give you lovely, bright, vivid images.
Night Time IR LED's - 4x Large IR LED's are fitted to provide additional light for the camera's image sensor to view when the light levels drop. This light is not visible to the human eye, so don't worry about it blinding following traffic. The camera can use it to light up a dark area. We currently hold two versions of this camera - one has IR night vision on the rear view driving camera, one doesn't. Customer feedback suggested people prefer the version without IR on the rear facing camera (both versions have IR on the downward facing camera). Leave a note when placing your order if you have a preference as to which version gets sent out, otherwise you may receive either.
Anti-rust Stainless Steel Bracket - Keeps your camera secure and looking good. Stainless steel is a very resistant to rust. Mild steel bracket cameras sold elsewhere have been known to rust in as little as a few weeks. We have ours painted matt white, which is shown to resist chipping compared to shiny paint finishes.
IP68 Waterproof - Designed to cope with the worst of weather. Mechanical seals all around the camera body makes this camera less prone to leaks.
Small Cable Entry Hole - Thanks to the slimline disconnect point we have added to the two camera cables. This means only an 8mm hole is required to get each cable inside the vehicle. Please kindly note that these 8mm disconnects are not waterproof. If you are planning your cable entry more than 1ft away from the camera please let us know that you want the "no-8mm disconnect" version, which will go straight to the very waterproof 4 pin connector.

AHD Reversing Camera Compatibility Info
AHD signal is a relatively new technology and as such is still relatively rare to find in use. Most reversing camera systems fitted to vehicles use CVBS (composite video signal), which has limitations in the definition that you can achieve. AHD (Analogue High Definition) allows you to achieve full HD 1080P definition image quality.
This recent technology uses advanced digital signal processing and analogue modulation to send high-definition video signals down traditional analogue coax-based cables. This means you can usually use your old 4-pin cabling to carry the new AHD signal without having to rewire from front to back.
Important things to consider:
- The device on which you wish to use your new camera MUST be capable of displaying the input from a 1080P AHD camera. You will see no image if you attempt to use this on any other device.
- Some AHD displays can only handle 720P inputs; again, if that is the case, no image will be displayed.
- Some AHD monitors and MDVRs require all cameras to be in the same format, e.g., 1080P or PAL. All of our AHD cameras are 1080P PAL (PAL is the European standard). So rest assured that if you are using one of our AHD monitors and wish to add an extra camera, you will not have any issues when choosing another camera.
- We DO NOT recommend AHD for use with cabled trailer links. Anyone with a trailer would be better off using our standard definition range of cameras (we have a lovely selection of high-resolution cameras that push the limits of the traditional CVBS signal to the max).

We have three postage options to select from during checkout (on larger items eg kits there will be two options):
Royal Mail Tracked - Smaller / Lighter weight orders. This will be sent via Royal Mails Tracked Service. They will send emails/SMS to inform you of the tracking events. This option won't be shown for heavier weight orders.
DPD 2 Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive within two working days (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
DPD Next Day. Small or large orders. This will be sent with DPD Local and should arrive the following working day (if you place the order before 12:30PM).
Highlands and Islands UK Shipping
We offer a 2-3 day service fulfilled with either Royal Mail Post, or Parcel Force. The prices charged are identical to mainland UK. Small orders will be sent via the post, larger orders via Parcel Force.
Outside of the UK Shipping
We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.
60 day "Change of Mind" policy
We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase. We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that. Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back. You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order. We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.
All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
