Introducing our Number Plate Digital Wireless Reversing Camera + 5" Monitor with Built-in Aerial

This is one of our most popular wireless reversing camera kits due to the ease of fitting with both parts having built-in aerials, this means that a supply to the camera and a supply to the monitor is all you need in terms of fitting. 

The monitor is supplied with both a lighter plug for an easy install and a hardwire cable for people wanting to free up lighter plug space.  The monitor comes with a suction cup for mounting as standard, although it has a rear channel to fit any of our monitor brackets.

The camera has an aerial built into the power wire and the camera can either be installed above or below the number plate, we also supply a bracket to allow this camera to be placed anywhere (like a bracket camera). The transmission of the video signal is done via Digital Wireless (a big difference between the analogue wireless in the past), which means that the signal is sent over long distances with no static to worry about.

5 Inch High Resolution Display - The monitor supplied is fitted with an 800x480 LED backlit Digital Panel to provide good image quality.

Flexible Mounting Options - Two mounting brackets are supplied with this wireless reverse camera. One is designed to fit behind the number plate - with the camera either sitting above or below. The second bracket turns the camera in to a traditional bracket camera for either horizontal or vertical surface mounting.

Clear Static-free Image - Thanks to the digital wireless technology used, which securely links the camera to the monitor. As the two parts are paired together and securely encrypted, the monitor knows what interference it can ignore, avoiding the static seen on older wireless systems.

60M Long Range Transmission - In the UK/EU traditional analogue wireless is restricted to 10mW, which often struggles even with a small vehicle e.g. car. Being digital, this reversing camera is allowed to be ten times this, and comes in at 100mW. The reason digital wireless is allowed to be more powerful, is because digital wireless is a "clean" transmission vs "dirty" analogue feeds.

Night Vision IR LED's - This camera is fitted with IR LED lights so it can see at night time. This light is below the visible spectrum of the human eye, so it won't blind drivers following you.

IP68 Waterproof Camera - High level water/dust ingress protection. Tough enough to withstand anything the Great British weather can throw at it.

Suitable for Always on Rear View Driving - This reverse camera can be left on all the time you are driving. The camera angle is fairly wide, so it should be mentioned that vehicles will look further away on a camera display than they do in your mirrors. This isn't a problem for most people, since they tend to want to keep an eye out for tailgaters or people walking behind them when they are reversing.

Who should choose a wireless reversing camera?

Caravans, articulated lorries, horsebox trailers, and other trailers are prime candidates for wireless camera systems as it solves the problem of getting the signal between the two sections. We don't recommend using wireless on modern cars/vans due to the sensitive CANBUS electrics on the rear lights (most common place people look to power wireless cameras). CANBUS will most likely will cut power when they detect the unusual draw of power from a wireless camera/transmitter - you can get around this with relays but that negates the selling point of ease of install. For customer with modern cars/vans we recommend using our cabled/wired reversing camera systems, as the monitor powers the camera instead of the rear lights - thus avoiding CANBUS issues.
