About our Sony CCD Flush Bumper Reversing Camera
The flush fitting bullet/bumper reverse camera is very popular with customers who are looking for an extremely discreet, hard to spot camera. It comes with the following advantages :
Discreet and Subtle - Designed to fit in a small 28mm hole, usually in the bumper. This camera is hard to spot and looks similar to a parking sensor. The camera comes supplied with the hole saw to drill the correct sized hole for the camera to fit in.
Increased Reversing Safety - The most important bonus about this camera is that it improves the visibility to the rear of your vehicle. This will help to improve the safety to pedestrians and property whilst reversing.
High Resolution Camera Image Quality - Thanks to the Sony 639 600tvl 1/3" CCD image sensor, this reverse camera will return a good, high resolution image, that captures good colour detail and works well in both day and night conditions.
Night Vision IR LED's - This camera is fitted with Infra Red LED's that come on automatically when the camera detects it is dark. This light is below the visible spectrum of the human eye, but is visible to the camera. This means it will not distract following vehicles, but will allow the reverse camera to see in the dark.
IP68 Waterproof Rating - Rated to withstand even the worst weather the Great British Isles can throw at it.
Choice of 4 Pin or RCA Connectors - We stock this camera with an option of the two main universal connector types - RCA and 4 Pin Aviation.
We find the bumper/flush mount cameras have been very popular for car owners, motorhomes, as well as small vans and people installing cameras into doors. See the image below, sent in to us by one of our regular auto electrician customers after installing the bumper reversing camera on to one of their customers motorhome.
The bumper reverse camera is designed to be discreet, we supply a 28mm hole saw to use on a drill, the camera then inserts in to this hole and you screw locking rings to the rear to fix it in position.
The bumper reversing camera has an outer lip that is approximately 32mm in diameter, plus a rubber seal o-ring - this sits against the surface that you mount to (usually the bumper). See the image below to see how the camera installs on to a vehicle. The body of the camera is 28mm in diameter, a hole saw is provided that fits a household drill to create the appropriate sized hole. The body is threaded, once in position the securing ring is tightened on to the body to lock everything in place.
The bumper camera is supplied with angled spacer rings, which can be used in situations where you wish to angle the camera down slightly eg if you have a sloped door/mounting higher up. This makes the camera less flush, see image below with the camera mounted in Perspex as a demonstration.
If you choose the 4 pin connector option, check out our 4 pin extension cables category. Require an adaptor for a different style connector, check out our adaptors category.
If you choose the RCA/Phono connector option, check out our range of RCA Phono extension cables, and DC power extension cables.

Highlands and Islands UK Shipping
We offer a 2-3 day service fulfilled with either Royal Mail Post, or Parcel Force. The prices charged are identical to mainland UK. Small orders will be sent via the post, larger orders via Parcel Force.
Outside of the UK Shipping
We shop around when selecting the best method for Europe (we avoid the cheap budget couriers due to parcels being lost). Southern Ireland is always sent via DPD. Other countries will usually be either Parcel Force, UPS, or Fedex. Please note that we require a phone number for international deliveries. Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.
60 day "Change of Mind" policy
We understand that for whatever reason you may need to return your purchase. We provide a 60 day opportunity for you to do just that. Simply give us an email or a phone call to let us know it is due back. You are responsible for the shipping back to us but you will receive a full refund including the original shipping we charged you for your order. We recommend getting a signed for or proof of postage when posting back to us.
All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
