Flush Bumper Sony CCD Digital Wireless Reverse Camera Kit | DW14
Flush fitting Sony CCD bumper wireless reverse camera kit. This camera fits in to a 28mm hole - holesaw provided. The camera looks subtle, as it is mostly hidden. The transmission of the video signal is done via a 60M Digital Wireless sender box (a big difference between the analogue wireless in the past), which means that the signal is sent over long distances with no static to worry about. The image is displayed on a 5 inch suction (or optional bracket) wireless monitor display with built in aerial. Rest assured with a two year guarantee from Reversing Cameras UK Ltd, specialist family business with a great reputation for supporting customers.

Rest assured that our 60M long range digital wireless TX Sender Box will cope with the longest vehicles.
Reliable Digital Wireless Technology - We have used the 60M digital wireless chip in our equipment for many years now. It has proven to be very reliable. Once paired, the reversing camera wireless transmitter box and 5 inch wireless monitor will always stay linked with each other when in range.
Great Image Quality - The Reversing Camera is fitted with a 600tvl Sony CCD image sensor. The image sensor is the component of a camera that captures the image, it is the most important part in regards to giving you the best quality image. The Sony 1/3" Sony CCD image sensor gives good low light level sensitivity and colourful, high resolution images for the sender box to then send wirelessly to the display.
Discreet Design - This bumper mount reverse camera is not obvious when installed. The main body is hidden behind whatever panel/trim you secure it to on your vehicle. This pretty much fits flush and doesn't draw attention to itself. This is something that is an important feature for a lot of people who choose this camera.
IP68 Waterproof Camera - High level water/dust ingress protection. Tough enough to withstand anything the Great British weather can throw at it. Kindly note that the camera has an inline voltage regulator that is not waterproof. This part needs to be kept dry, if this is not possible, we recommend using another camera. Most of our other cameras don't require this to be on the cable, but due to the fact that the voltage dropping process produces heat, we find that smaller cameras mounted in the bumper will be more reliable when the dropper is on the cable instead of internal. Especially on higher end CCD image sensors, which use a bit more power than the cheaper CMOS.
Built-in Aerial for Monitor - The 5" Wireless Monitor is fitted with a built in aerial and receiver. This means no need to find a hiding place for a receiver box. This has the advantage that you can move it between more than one tow vehicle, which may be useful if the camera is fitted to a trailer/caravan.
60M Range - Customers are always surprised by the range of this wireless reversing camera system. Some customers who have caravans/trailers have driven away from the camera and mentioned how far they could drive before they lose signal with each other. The general consensus with wireless cameras is to look for range that is double the distance between camera/monitor i.e. if you have a 8M Caravan and a 5M car, you would want a minimum of 26M range wireless. We used to supply 40M range systems in the past, and this was ample for everyone, so the 60M sets are absolutely no worries.
12V/24V Suitable For All Vehicles - This wireless reversing camera kit can operate on either 12V vehicles such as car/van/trailer/caravan, or 24V vehicles such as HGV/LGV/Truck. One thing we would like to mention is that most modern cars/vans rear lights are fitted with CANBUS. If you try to power the camera from a rear light on one of these vehicles you might find the power cuts to the camera due to this. It is rare still to see CANBUS on caravans/trailers, where most people use a side light supply to power the camera.
IR Night Vision - This Reversing Camera is fitted with Infra-Red (IR) Night Vision LED's. This means that in pitch black conditions, the rear of the vehicle will be lit up with light only the camera can see. What this means is that the camera will NOT blind following vehicles with light, but WILL be able to see in the dark using the light. IR light is below the visible spectrum of the human eyes, but in the spectrum of the cameras image sensor.
No Static / Secure Connection - Being digital, this wireless system operates like a Wifi network - encrypting information and securely linking together. The signal is actually converted to an MP4 codec, which is played back with minimal delay (less than a tenth-of-a-second). Because the two parts are paired together, the system knows what it can ignore, meaning the system does not suffer from snowy static interference of the older analogue wireless.
Suction Mount / Choice of Brackets - As standard a temporary mounting suction mount bracket is supplied with this kit. It is a very sturdy mount, which securely holds the monitor for long periods of time. Having said that, suction mounts are never "for life", and will require being re-made regularly. If you are intending to mount permanently we would recommend you choose the dash mount bracket option, which will come with an adhesive mount quick release dash bracket to stick to the dashboard.
Two Year Guarantee - We guarantee all parts of your new wireless reversing camera system will be free from factory defects for a period of 2 Years. We endeavour to support your purchase beyond this with spare parts where available.
Hardwire or 12V Lighter Plug - This system comes with BOTH a 12V Lighter Plug and traditional Red (Positive) and Black (Earth) Bare Wires for Hardwiring.
Optional Extension Cable Between Camera and Sender - Although the system should be able to cope with the length of the longest vehicle/trailer combos, and the sender box is waterproof, we find people often want to mount the sender box away from where the camera is mounted. You can select one of our 4 pin reversing camera extension cables from the drop down menu, this cable screws and locks to both the camera and sender box fly leads.
Who should choose a wireless reversing camera?
Caravans, articulated lorries, horsebox trailers, and other trailers are prime candidates for wireless camera systems as it solves the problem of getting the signal between the two sections. We don't recommend using wireless on modern cars/vans due to the sensitive CANBUS electrics on the rear lights (most common place people look to power wireless cameras). CANBUS will most likely will cut power when they detect the unusual draw of power from a wireless camera/transmitter - you can get around this with relays but that negates the selling point of ease of install. For customer with modern cars/vans we recommend using our cabled/wired reversing camera systems, as the monitor powers the camera instead of the rear lights - thus avoiding CANBUS issues.

Also if you are a company in Europe, a VAT number or EORI number will help speed up customs.
We remove the UK VAT (Tax) when any country other than the UK is selected in the shopping basket or checkout. From this point all prices on the site drop down to exclude VAT. If you are from the Channel Islands, please select Jersey / Guernsey from the country list in order to remove UK sales Tax.

All we ask is that you return the items in the condition they were sent in, with the packaging present. You are welcome to have temporarily tested the product and unravelled things, but if you have cut wires, soldered, glued, installed and used for a while then this wouldn't be suitable for returns under the change of mind policy.
